Anna Hu is an international jewelry designer, born in Taiwan and educated in the U.S., who approaches her art with a distinctly East meets West philosophy and aesthetic that is heavily influenced by both cultures. Strong performance earns Anna Blackburn place on Beaverbrooks board

A strong performance from retail chain Beaverbrooks has earned managing director Anna Blackburn a place on the board, marking only the second time in the company's 99 year history that a non family member has served as a board director. Birmingham based jewellery manufacturer Hockley Mint has revealed the finalists in its 25th anniversary design competition, with six designers making the shortlist. The British Fashion Council announced the winners of The Fashion Awards 2016 this week at the Royal Albert Hall. 4,000 members of the industry and the public gathered to watch this year’s awards, where an international set of winners were announced at a larger ceremony than ever before. Over the past 12 months, jewellery industry change makers 'Fair Luxury' have been hosting a series of on-line events under the banner of the 'Open House. These events have frequently involved guest speakers as well as taking an open conversation format.
